Before you begin with any party you may need to be approved by the party
For over 15 years, our team has worked with elected representatives. From the very start of your journey we can help you to understand the commitment and responsibilities you will be taking on as an elected representative. If you want to better understand what is involved, book a call with us.
To have an impact as an elected representative, you will need to be passionate about a particular cause or policy. We can help you develop and grow your knowledge and engage across the political and business sector in the specialist areas that you want to focus on.
We have a dedicated set of sessions on becoming a good MP regardless of the party you are hoping to stand for.
If you decide to proceed, you will need an up-to-date CV, to be on the electoral roll and have a current passport. You will also need to ensure your social media accounts (Facebook, Linkedin, X, etc.) are active and clear of any dubious content. We can help you complete this prior to taking the first steps.
Getting Elected
Once you secure selection as a candidate, your target audience is now the electorate in the area you seek to represent. Helping you secure their support is our job.
Almost every election winner assembles a coalition of support from different parts of the electorate. You will need to present yourself as a credible candidate to all parts of that coalition.
College Green Group has supported multiple candidates and worked on many successful campaigns. We help you identify the right people to speak to, build the channels of communication, craft the messaging and help you build your election winning team of activists and volunteers.
Delivering in office
Getting elected is only the beginning. In office you need to keep winning the argument for changes you want to make. Campaigning doesn’t stop and can be run on a party political basis in parallel with your official activities to gain support for your policy delivery.
College Green Group can also help you use the power of your incumbency to amplify your messages and communicate your successes. We can continue to work with your campaign team and volunteers to support the election of other Conservatives across the area you represent, helping to maximise the likelihood of your re-election.
